Transportation payment can be granted round trip. The means of transportation used are airplane, bus, train and catamaran.
The transportation service has to be provided by state entities.
The municipal deputy director of Prevention, Assistance and Social Work is responsible for controlling the expenses executed in the "Registry of expenses for subsidies for the payment of transportation" .
Corresponds to the Ministry of Public Health:
- Designate in each province the authorities empowered to make this request and inform the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
- Issue certification, exposing the need to transfer the patient who requires health services outside their locality, diagnosis of the disease, inability to provide the care required by the patient in their province, the proposed transportation route, from according to the characteristics of the patient and frequency in which the trips must be made, if it is necessary to transfer them on other occasions, and if it is essential, that the patient be accompanied by another person.
Corresponds to the Municipal Labor Directorate:
- The Director of Municipal Labor receives and registers the request presented by the authority empowered by MINSAP.
- The specialist verifies the need raised within 7 working days , through socioeconomic research on the family nucleus.
- With the results of the socioeconomic investigation and the supporting documentation provided by Public Health, the specialist prepares the file with the protection proposal.
